BRIAN Laundrie’s parents may have armed their runaway son with a gun and “help” him dodge the cops, said former America’s Most Wanted host John Walsh.

Prolific missing person investigator laid the charges during his appearance on “Gabby Petito: ID Special Report” which aired on ID in an attempt to piece together Gabby Petito’s strangulation homicide after her remains were found at a Wyoming campground on September 19.

“ARMED” AND “ALIVE”

“I believe he’s out there with the help of his parents,” Walsh said when asked if Brian, Gabby Petito’s 23-year-old ex-fiancé, was still alive.

Walsh also accuses the fugitive’s parents, Christopher and Roberta Laundrie, of helping their son escape prosecution by law enforcement.

“They are actively helping and encouraging his escape and they are helping him stay there,” he said.

He added that Brian might be armed.

“I think maybe they gave him a gun,” Walsh said. “And I would hate to see anyone else fall victim to this guy.”

FOUR WEEKS OF RESEARCH FOR BRIAN

The FBI, police and local sheriffs are actively looking for Brian, who was last seen on September 14 by his parents who told authorities he never returned after leaving their North Port home to do so. hiking in the Carlton nature reserve.

The Laundrie family stayed at the campsite on September 6 – days after Brian cut the couple’s summer trip together by two months.

Investigators deployed drones, hunting dogs and all-terrain vehicles to the alligator, snake and insect infested swamps of the reserve.

Bounty hunters also joined in the search, with Dog the Bounty Hunter trying to find Brian further away on the much smaller 1,136-acre Fort de Soto Island campground.

Initially, Laundrie family attorney Steven Bertolino said, “Brian left that phone at home the day he went for a hike on the reservation on September 14, 2021 and the FBI now has that phone.”

This key date has been changed to September 13.

“The laundries based the date of Brian’s departure on their memories of certain events,” Bertolino said.

“After further communication with the FBI and confirmation of the Mustang’s presence at the Laundrie residence on Wednesday September 15th, we now believe that the day Brian left for a hike on the reservation was Monday September 13th. “

BRIAN’S FATHER JOINS RESEARCH

The lawsuit to detain Brian has not faltered since a manhunt was launched last month.

Brian’s father agreed to report his son’s favorite trails and hiking spots to law enforcement on Thursday.

The father spent just over three hours on the 25,000-acre Carlton Preserve in Venice, Florida.

Brian was named a “person of interest” four days before his 22-year-old ex-fiancée Gabby was found dead in Grand Teton Park, Wyoming.

The van-life couple cut short their summer transatlantic road trip.

Gabby was last heard from on August 30 when her mother Nichole Schmidt received a text that read “No signal in Yosemite”.

Brian was not named a suspect in his death, but is wanted only for fraud for allegedly using his card after his disappearance.

CORONER: GABBY WAS STRANGE

The Teton County Coroner and the FBI confirmed that the remains found on September 19 were Gabby.

On September 21, 2021, Teton County Coroner Dr. Brent Blue confirmed that Petito had died as a result of a homicide.

On September 23, the FBI field office in Denver issued an arrest warrant for Brian.

Two days later, an arrest warrant was issued for Brian after investigators claimed he “used unauthorized debit cards after Gabby Petito’s death.”

The FBI issued an arrest warrant, accusing Brian of swiping a Capital One debit card between August 31 and September 1 that belonged to Gabby.

A federal grand jury charged Laundrie with “knowingly with intent to defraud” using a Capital One debit card in the amount of at least $ 1,000.

On Tuesday, the official autopsy report was released by Teton County, revealing Gabby’s cause of death was strangulation.

Special Agent Michael Schneider has issued a formal statement asking anyone with information about where her fiance Laundrie is to contact them immediately.

“The FBI’s commitment to justice is at the forefront of every investigation,” Schneider said. “The FBI and our partners remain committed to ensuring that anyone responsible for or complicit in Mr. Petito’s death is held accountable for their actions.”

He continued, “Mr. Brian Laundrie has been named a Person of Interest. Anyone with information regarding Mr. Laundrie’s role in this matter or his current whereabouts should contact the FBI.”

‘GABBY DEBIT CARD’

Family lawyer Steven Bertolino admitted after the official Teton County cause of death was released, that Brian had used a debit card belonging to Gabby without authorization.

“Gabby Petito’s death at such a young age is a tragedy,” Bertolino’s statement read.

“While Brian Laundrie is currently charged with unauthorized use of a debit card belonging to Gabby, Brian is only considered a person of interest in relation to Gabby Petito’s death.

“Brian is still missing at this time and when he is located we will deal with the fraud charge against him.”
