Scarlett johansson‘s Black Widow may have died in Avengers: Endgame, but she lives in the new Disney + series Hawk Eye.
Jeremy Renner and Hailee Steinfeld spoke to E! News on what fans can expect from the show, with Clint Barton’s actor teasing that it will shine a light on Hawkeye’s “grieving process” in the wake of the events of The Blip.
“I think there is a lot of information and I think a lot of people want to know what Clint thinks about it,” Renner said of Black Widow’s death. “It’s an important exploration.”
The 50-year-old actor added that Clint has found a new partner in Hailee’s character, Kate Bishop, explaining that her presence “makes her a bit cathartic for me.”
This is the first time fans have spent a long period of time with Clint after sharing the limelight with the rest of the Avengers casting in the past 10 years. And although Renner said he was “very excited” that he had his own show, he believed Clint would respond by announcing, “I’ll be right back.”
