When professional strongmen Thor Bjornsson and Eddie Hall squared off, it was billed as the heaviest fight ever, but Jarrell Miller just tipped them both for the weight.
Miller, who was scheduled to fight Anthony Joshua for his unified world heavyweight titles in 2019 only to be banned for failing a series of drug tests, has not fought since 2018.
During his time in the desert, he was recruited by Tyson Fury to help prepare for his title defense against Dillian Whyte, and now faces Ariel Esteban Bracamonte.
The return of the 33-year-old New Yorker will be on a card in Argentina against an opponent best known for having been stopped by Dave Allen in 2018.
Regularly scoring more than 21 stone in his career, Miller has always been known as a tough fighter, hence the nickname ‘Big Baby’, but at Wednesday’s weigh-in the American nearly broke the scales.
Miller weighed an incredible 24 stone and five pounds. For reference, that’s heavier than Thor Bjornsson and Eddie Hall, who weighed in for their fight – dubbed the “heaviest in boxing history” – at 23rd 9lbs and 22nd 3lbs respectively.
That being said, Miller still hasn’t been able to outmatch the infamous Eric Esch, otherwise known as “Butterbean”, who once weighed 30lbs and 6lbs when he fought Kirk Lawton in his last exit.
There is no maximum weight in heavyweight boxing, but the minimum is 14lbs 5lbs (200lbs), so in theory Miller could fight someone in the same weight class who is 10 stone lighter than him.

After the weigh-in, Miller and Bracamonte squared off and it looked like it might get heated at some point when “Big Baby” pushed his Argentinian rival.
It seems, however, that all that weight didn’t come with much power, as Bracamonte barely moved and the situation quickly dissipated.
