Manchester United are closing in on a deal to sign Jadon Sancho from Borussia Dortmund.
A proposed deal for the England winger is worth around £ 77million as the clubs finalize the payment structure and potential additions.
The Bundesliga have been pushing for more of the fee to be paid up front – and are now poised to lower their asking price if United agree to take payment.
It is understood that Dortmund’s asking price for the 21-year-old at the start of the summer transfer window was over £ 85million.
Meanwhile, a fee of £ 77million would be more than £ 30million lower than the £ 108million valuation Dortmund placed on Sancho last summer.
United’s personal terms deal and Sancho shouldn’t pose any problems, although that likely won’t happen while he’s on international duty with England at Euro 2020.
Sancho went through Watford academy before joining Manchester City in 2015, but moved to Dortmund in 2017 after declining the offer of a new contract at the Etihad.
Sancho quickly established himself as a key player at Dortmund and scored 50 goals in 137 appearances for the German club.
