Grealish to get a taste of European football for the first time in his career

Grealish had expressed his desire to play Champions League football for years and will finally realize his dream against RB Leipzig.

The European shock will mark a sensational few months for the 26-year-old, who has won the nation’s love on and off the pitch this summer.

Grealish enjoyed a breakout tournament with England at Euro 2020, but admitted his career could have taken a very different direction.

The playmaker hilariously claimed that he would enjoy the rays as a promoter in Ibiza or Tenerife if he wasn’t a footballer.

“I would bring everyone into the club,” Grealish, whose father is a plasterer, told The Times.

“I couldn’t be a plasterer, like my father,” he laughed. “I would be a club promoter. Tenerife. Or Ibiza.

The move to Man City developed Grealish for England

City were quick to sign Grealish from childhood club Aston Villa after the euros – splashing a UK transfer record of £ 100million in the process.

The move came just days after Lionel Messi said his tearful farewell to Barcelona ahead of his free transfer to Paris Saint-Germain.

And Grealish admitted to identifying with the legendary Argentinian after revealing that his last day at Villa was emotional as well.

“Everyone saw how Messi was at his last press conference and that’s exactly what I felt,” he said.

“Before leaving the hotel, I spoke to the team, the staff and the players and I myself ‘tore’ a bit, but I felt it was time for me to move on. something else.

“I always said I wanted to play Champions League football and I couldn’t do it at Villa this year.”

Who would have thought that Grealish and Stormzy would start this relationship?

The midfielder decided to reward himself for hammering Arsenal with a trip to the festival

Grealish has already shown signs of not being bothered by his price at City with a goal and an assist in his four Premier League games so far.

And the former loaner from Notts County was in the mood to celebrate after a 5-0 win over Arsenal by joining Stormzy on stage at the Leeds festival.

The two know each other well and the musician was seen wearing an English shirt with Grealish on the back during the Euros.

On top of that, Stormzy screamed at City No.10 on a remix of Yaw Tog’s song “Sore” earlier this year.

But Grealish may be fully deserving of his own song if he helps Pep Guardiola and co to the Champions League Promised Land this season …
