A suspension bridge for pedestrians, the longest construction of its type in the world, has been inaugurated in a mountain resort in the Czech Republic.
The 721 meter long bridge is built over 1,100 meters above sea level. It connects two mountain ridges and rises 95 meters above the valley.
Sky Bridge 721 is located in the northeast of the country, in the Kralicky Sneznik mountain range, near the border with Poland, some 200 kilometers east of Prague.
Construction took two years and cost some CZK 200 million ($8.3 million).
The last and longest such bridge is in Arouca, Portugal, and is 516 meters (1,693 ft) long.
