I’m so sick of the rude self-checkout hack from other shoppers – it makes things harder and longer for the rest of us

SOME people have no etiquette when it comes to using the self-checkout lanes that are popping up in stores across the country.

A man was forced to wait in a long line while another customer hogged a register for his entire shopping trip.

TikTok user @oldrowswig shared the story in one of his recent clips.

“I was traveling during one of the busiest times of the year and witnessed one of the most ridiculous things I’ve ever seen happen at an airport,” he said. .

The poster attempted to quickly buy a bottle of water from a convenience store at Love Field airport in Dallas, Texas, before boarding his flight.

As he tried to check, a “guy jumps across the store” to stop him, as he had already started scanning.

“I’m looking at the screen, and actually there were like three items already scanned,” the poster said.

He went to line up for one of the other registers.

“I watched this guy go back to the shelf and keep shopping for like five minutes,” the TikTok user said.

The other man ended up checking out along with the poster, who eventually had to wait for three other shoppers to finish shopping.

“Isn’t that a crazy decision? To shop, partially check out, then shop again while there are huge queues at an airport?” asked the poster.

“To me, that’s one of the craziest, most self-centered things I’ve ever seen in an airport.”

Below the video, the commenters showed no sympathy for the other buyer.

“Oh fuck no. To hell with that,” one said.

“Super rude,” said another.

“Do you need an employee to cancel the transaction like Walmart?” asked a commentator.

“If he hadn’t spoken to anyone, I would have implicated an employee and canceled it.”
