I’m a bartender with a country accent – I’ve been praised for the “cute” method I use to get more tips

A BARTENDER has revealed the secret she uses to get more tips on a night of service.
According to a recent video on TikTok of bartender Scarlett Green, there’s a method she uses to serve drinks that has earned her accolades and more money.

According to Green’s legend, it’s her pigtails and southern accent that attract some customers.
“Because old people love pigtails and a little country accent more than they should ❤️,” she wrote.
The video itself featured Green behind the bar at what is likely his workplace, counting his tip.
On top of that, there’s a caption on top that read, “Why do you always do pigtails when you’re a bartender?”

The audio was a track called “Men Are Stupid And I Don’t Respect Them” by Smeg Head.
At the end of counting his money, Green looked at the camera and spoke the audio.
Based on her captions and video, Green likely finds the method herself and interest in her accent and older men’s pigtails unappealing.
Nonetheless, she noted that it could still be a way to make more money, and some commenters on TikTok shared the same sentiment.
“20 [years] back when i was a bartender my tips doubled with pigtails,” one person said.
“Still disgusted by this,” they continued.
Another explained, “the pigtails and the word ‘y’all’ go a long way at the steakhouse where I work.”
“We told me [three] times by the same old man at work today that he ‘loves pigtails on girls’,” added another TikToker.
As Green and the other reviewers seem to note, the money is great, but the subliminal message they get from the interest in pigtails isn’t the best.
Bartending can still be a great way to earn a solid living, and can also serve as a great side hustle.
The average salary for a bartender in New York City is around $27,000, per Salary.com.
