Ice storm: caution on the roads this Monday in Brittany – Bretagne

Given the current weather conditions, widespread ice is observed on the road network throughout Brittany. The four departments were also placed on snow-ice yellow vigilance from 6 a.m. to 11 a.m. Traffic is difficult and users are called upon to be extremely vigilant.

In the Côtes-d’Armor, fog is reported in the areas of Moncontour, Merdrignac and Loudéac. Salting operations on the main road network were launched at 2 a.m. on Monday morning. They are currently continuing.

In Finistère, temperatures are close to 0° or negative throughout the department. There is also a lot of humidity which can cause fog. Traffic conditions are dangerous with icy and slippery roads. Salting operations are in progress. At daybreak, the drop in temperatures could reinforce the formation of the ice. Great vigilance is recommended to users.

In Morbihan, almost the entire road network is also affected this Monday morning.
