I didn’t want to buy my daughter a lot of presents for Christmas, so I found a way to make it look like she had a lot more presents.

It’s the time of year when parents everywhere empty their children’s toy closets in anticipation of the inevitable arrival of new toys.

But after deciding her daughter already has too many toys, a mother found a clever way to give her little girl just one Christmas present.

Sophia took to TikTok to share her mommy hack, posting a video of her daughter carefully unwrapping what appeared to be lots of small gifts.

“When your kids have too many toys, you just give them one Christmas present and wrap all 20 pieces separately,” she wrote on the clip.

“She was so excited about every single one of them,” Sophia captioned the video.

The gift was a nativity set, and she had wrapped each nativity figure separately for her daughter to open.

And people in the comments section were quick to congratulate her on this clever idea.

“Genius!” we wrote.

“My kids just like to unbox things so it’s a win-win,” another added.

“Exactly!” Sophia replied.

“It really makes sense,” added another.

“They open it and then never use it again and use the wrapping paper instead.”

And as a bonus, the Sophia girls are now aware that the gift is seasonal, so comes out every year.

“Normally my 4 year old has to ask for snacks so at Christmas I give them and they can be eaten anytime without asking lol.”
