CANNED corned beef can be a great resource when cooking your meals – but only if properly prepared.

If you’re worried about the high sodium content of canned corned beef, you can also follow a rinse and repeat process to get rid of some of the salt.
Empty the can into a bowl then add cold water.
Make sure the meat is evenly distributed in the bowl to allow water to seep through.
Keep the bowl in the refrigerator for an hour before rinsing the meat and repeating the process.
But be sure to let canned hash dry out before tossing it in a heated skillet with oil.
Likewise, if you’re worried about the fat content of canned hash, there’s a way to cut some of that out as well.
If you boil the tin of corned beef hash, removing the tin intact while it’s still hot, you should be able to open it to find some accumulated fat on top.
Pour the fat into an aluminum can and let it cool before throwing it away.

According to Hormel, all you have to do is spray the basket with nonstick spray, add the contents of the can, and cook for 15 to 20 minutes at 370 degrees.
You can also choose to add an egg or two on top and let it sit for another four or five minutes.
