UFC Hall of Famer Chuck Liddell has revealed he once fought with a bunch of Navy SEALs while working as a bartender in California.
Naturally, the fight legend has often been invoked when fights have broken out in the bar, and on a recent podcast appearance he recalled walking into it with a particular group of men.
“I wasn’t involved in most of it,” Liddell said on Steve-O’s Wild Ride!
“The first time they arrived, all the guys who trained with me, who normally worked at this bar, were in Hawaii with us.
“Gan McGee was there, he was 6’10” and weighed almost 300 pounds and he fought for a UFC world title at one point. But he was involved in it and he cut himself somewhere in the face. A few of his buddies were really p***** and everyone was mad about it.
Things took a turn when the Navy SEALs revisited the bar soon after.
Unfortunately for them, Liddell was there this time and happy to defend his friends.

“They came back two weeks later and the guys got revenge on them,” Liddell said.
“When I arrived one of my buddies had a guy pinned down. The only thing I did was I ran towards the guy who was hitting my buddy. I ran and just broke the guy’s head and bounced his face on the ground.
“I just grabbed his head, pulled his head down and slapped his head off the ground. His head just popped off the ground, he came out, he cut his head open, I think.
The MMA icon explained that due to an incident in his youth, he no longer tries to stop fights by suffocating those involved.
“Once it comes to throwing punches, I don’t,” Liddell said. “I did this once in college and got kicked in the face doing it, never again. So once a bunch of people are throwing punches, I try to… have your hands free.
