Michael Cohen, Donald Trump’s former personal lawyer and fixer, exposed his ex-boss’s penchant for lying in Thursday’s episode of “Jimmy Kimmel Live!”
The former president “lied every day” and even “the very first time I met him,” Cohen told host Jimmy Kimmel. He recalled that Trump claimed when they first met that he had given him a “good deal” for an apartment in one of his apartment buildings. But Cohen said he actually paid the market price.
Kimmel asked Cohen to recall Trump’s dumbest lie.
“It’s hard to say,” he replied. “I mean almost everything that came out of his mouth was actually stupid. Many of us must have spent so much time each day covering up the ridiculous.
“I mean, let’s talk stupidity, let’s talk about bone spurs,” Cohen continued, referring to Trump’s contested decades-old request for a medical exemption from the Vietnam War project.
“This is one of the stupidest lies he ever made me deal with on his behalf. We know there were no bone spurs, we know that is an absolute lie, ”said Cohen, who is currently serving a three-year sentence (at home due to the coronavirus pandemic) for lying to Congress about the Russia investigation and violating campaign funding. laws. He is now one of Trump’s most vocal critics.
“The part that bothered me the most was after we met, let’s say an injured veteran, the only thing that idiot would turn around and say, ‘Why would anyone go to war? Look at what happened and see how they come back. I mean, not me. I wouldn’t, ”Cohen added.
