Britney Spears’ younger sister has remained silent on shocking testimony from older brother Wednesday – and #FreeBritney supporters assume it’s for questionable reasons.
Jamie Lynn Spears has disabled comments on his most recent posts on Instagram. His mother, Lynne Spears did the same.
However, comments on both accounts can be seen in older posts. Comments that can be seen on Lynne Spears’ Instagram account and Jamie Lynn’s Twitter account echo the harassment the two women are experiencing online.
In the comments, #FreeBritney supporters suggest the women have stolen money from the 39-year-old pop star, played a role in her guardianship struggles, and are not supporting her properly. There are also quite a few insults and threats.
Even the tweets about how Jamie Lynn Spears’ comments were turned off on Instagram are tinged with anger.
“Jamie Lynn Spears is lucky she turned her IG comments off because I was coming for her. #FreeBritney,” wrote one Twitter user.
Another claimed Jamie Lynn Spears turned off his comments after being “dragged by over 1.5,000 people on his last post.”
The “Zoey 101” star posted an Instagram post on Wednesday – the same day as her sister’s horrific testimony – which seems somewhat callous, given the context of its post date.
The “… baby one more timeThe singer has been in custody since 2008 after being hospitalized for a psychiatric evaluation. Britney Spears spoke to Judge Brenda Penny – who oversees her legal arrangement – on Wednesday after asking for the opportunity to address the court in her own words. In her testimony, Britney Spears said she wanted to take legal action against the members of her family who benefited from the guardianship.
“I want to sue my family,” Britney Spears said in court Wednesday. “They should be in jail. I just want my life back. “
Britney Spears also testified that she was forced to work, take lithium and keep her IUD, even though she wants to have another child.
