Heavy blow for Tottenham with Richarlison facing a month out after ‘serious injury’

Ottenham striker Richarlison will miss up to a month of action after suffering a hamstring injury at the World Cup.
The Brazilian led his country’s line in Qatar, scoring three times as the Seleçao fell in the quarter-finals.
In Brazil’s encounter with Croatia, the 25-year-old played 84 minutes as he looked uncomfortable and duly missed a dramatic extra time and penalty shootout.
He reported to the club’s Hotspur Way training base last week and was sent for a scan, the results of which showed a ‘serious injury’.
“I spoke with the medical service, they told me we needed three to four weeks. His injury was a serious injury,” Conte said.
Spurs are back in action on Boxing Day with a trip to Brentford and face rocky links with Arsenal and Manchester City before the end of January.
Richarlison, who also missed a handful of games before the World Cup with a hamstring problem, now faces a race against time to make it.
