‘He is cutting odds out of nothing – Fulham boss Parker hails Lookman’s impact against Tottenham

Fulham Manager Scott Parker pleased Ademola Lookman after his performance against Tottenham Hotspur in Wednesday’s Premier League game.

The Nigerian forward has put on a big show since teaming up with Craven Cottage outfit this summer thanks to a one-season loan from a German club. RB Leipzig.

Lookman was entitled to his 13th Premier League appearance for the Cottagers against the Lilywhites and again had a revealing impact in the meeting.

The forward was hired in the second half of the game as a replacement for Kenny Tete and helped his team avoid defeat.

Lookman provided a key assist for Ivan Cavaleiro to cancel Harry Kane’s opener in the first half and ensured his team ended the game with a points share.

Fulham boss Parker has expressed his joy at the Nigerian star’s contribution against Jose Mourinho’s men.

“After the Covid-19 issues he came and showed his quality. He helped the team with the help and increased his chances with us,” Parker said. BBC Sports.

“The second half, the way the game was going, I felt like the second goal was coming. You have someone on the pitch like Ademola Lookman cutting the odds out of nothing.”

Lookman has now made 15 appearances for Fulham since joining the Premier League club, scoring two goals and providing three assists.

Despite the draw against Tottenham, the Craven Cottage outfit remains in the bottom three with 12 points in 16 games.

Lookman is expected to continue his fine form when Fulham faces off Chelsea in their next Premier League game on Saturday.

The forward played for Charlton Athletic before joining Everton in 2017 and spent two years with the team.

Lookman left the Goodison Park outfit for Bundesliga RB Leipzig side in 2019 after his failure to establish himself at the club.

The winger played for England youth teams but pledged his allegiance to Nigeria National team.

After completing his stint in the West African country, he hopes to continue his impressive performances for Fulham to stand a chance of being called up for the Super Eagles.
