Trump’s former senior adviser Jared Kushner claimed in his forthcoming memoir that he personally stopped former US President Donald Trump from attacking media mogul Rupert Murdoch for his criticism of Trump’s House bid Blanche in 2016. Kushner reportedly recalled that when his stepfather started his presidential campaign, he instantly saw red when, in 2015, Murdoch tweeted: “When will Donald Trump stop embarrassing his friends, and much less the whole country? According to an Axios report on the excerpt, then, days later, The New York Times ran a front-page story that discussed Murdoch’s reservations about Trump. It was titled “Titans Clash as Trump’s Run Fuels His Feud with Murdoch”. Then, when he met Murdoch in his office, Kushner recalled how he had assured him of Trump’s great chance of victory in the 2016 election, and remarked to the media mogul that they – Trump and Murdoch – both wanted essentially the same things. The next day, Murdoch reportedly contacted Kushner and added that he may have misjudged the outcome of Trump’s effort. Nevertheless, he asked, “What does Donald want?” And that was the truce between the two powerful men, Kushner said, “for now.” After Kushner’s meeting with Murdoch, Fox News anchor Sean Hannity reportedly began serving as an informal adviser. When former Fox News executive Bill Shine joined the White House staff, he hit his peak. On election night 2020, Fox’s policy desk was the first to predict Arizona for Biden, infuriating Trump and his staff. This caused a permanent change in the relationship between Fox and Trump.

From foreign policy issues to the inner workings of the Trump administration, former adviser Jared Kushner lays bare his experiences in the Trump White House in his new memoir, “Breaking History: A White House Memoir.” The book is due out in bookstores on August 23.
Trump’s former senior adviser Jared Kushner claimed in his forthcoming memoir that he personally stopped former US President Donald Trump from attacking media mogul Rupert Murdoch for his criticism of Trump’s House bid White in 2016.
Kushner reportedly recalled that when his stepfather started his presidential campaign, he immediately saw red when, in 2015, Murdoch tweeted, “When is Donald Trump going to stop embarrassing his friends, let alone everyone? country ?”
“Trump called me,” Kushner wrote. “He clearly had enough. ‘This guy is no good. And I’ll tweet him.'”
Kushner claimed he was able to persuade Trump not to tweet anything about “the most powerful man” in conservative media, promising he would fix the relationship within hours.
Then, when he met Murdoch in his office, Kushner recalled how he assured him of Trump’s strong chances of winning the 2016 election and remarked to the media mogul that they – Trump and Murdoch – all wanted both essentially the same things.
“You agree on a lot of issues. You want smaller government. You want lower taxes. You want stronger borders,” Kushner reportedly said in that conversation, adding in the book that “Rupert listened quizzically, as if he couldn’t imagine Trump was really serious about the race.”
The next day, Murdoch reportedly contacted Kushner and added that he may have misjudged the outcome of Trump’s effort. Nevertheless, he asked: “What does Donald want?”
βHe wants to be president,β I replied. “No, what does he really want?” he asked again. “Look, he doesn’t need a nicer plane,” I said. “He’s got a nice plane. He doesn’t need a nicer house. He doesn’t need anything. He’s tired of politicians screwing up the country, and he thinks he could do better.”
And that was the truce between the two powerful men, Kushner said, “for the moment.”

After Kushner’s meeting with Murdoch, Fox News anchor Sean Hannity reportedly began serving as Trump’s informal adviser. When former Fox News executive Bill Shine joined the White House staff, he hit his peak.
