“He can’t leave us! Morning Joe host gloats over Trump’s latest insult to TV news program

TV hosts Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski have mocked Donald Trump after he released a statement attacking their MSNBC show.

Scarborough, who is married to his morning joe co-host, joked that the former president, who was a regular guest before he turned on them, “can’t leave us.”

“Will ‘Morning Joe’ be cancelled? He and Mika have very low ratings – they are having an extremely hard time finding an audience to listen to the fake news they reject,” Mr Trump said in his bizarre statement on Monday.

“Losing them would be very sad – let’s hope that doesn’t happen!”

The one-term president released the statement shortly after the show’s panel discussed a reported fallout between Mr. Trump and Florida Governor Ron DeSantis.

Scarborough and Brzezinski addressed the statement, shortly after Mr Trump issued it.

“We reject fake news,” Brzezinski admitted.

“A few things here,” said a seemingly amused Scarborough, a former Republican congressman.

“I never heard him speak of contempt. Use that as a word. I don’t use the word.

“Secondly, he cannot leave us. I even had to say, ‘That would be a shame.’ I’m surprised, we’ve been talking about football for two hours.

The panel then laughed as MSNBC threw an on-screen chyron that read, “morning joe thank you loyal viewer: florida retiree sends in thoughts on the show.

While in the White House, Mr Trump called for an investigation into a baseless conspiracy theory involving Mr Scarborough and the 2001 death of a former employee while a congressman.

Lori Bolterstein Klausutis has died aged 28. An autopsy revealed that an unknown heart condition caused him to fall and hit his head against a desk.

Brzezinski said Trump was a “sick person” for pushing the conspiracy theory.

In 2017, Mr Trump lashed out at Brzezinski on Twitter, calling her “crazy low-IQ Mika” and saying she had “bled profusely from a facelift” during a social gathering in her house. seaside resort of Mar-a-Lago.

She responded on Twitter by posting a photo of a box of Cheerios with the caption “Made for Little Hands”, a reference to the insult about the size of Mr Trump’s hands.
