Harry Kane aims to dig Marseille fans as Tottenham bounce back strong to qualify for Champions League

A late goal from Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg secured their progress to the knockout stages after Clement Lenglet leveled the score at the Stade Vélodrome as Tottenham came close to missing.

“Full time fireworks,” Kane tweeted along with a photo of the Spurs locker room celebrations.

The day before the crucial match, the players were awakened by fireworks set off outside their hotel.

The atmosphere inside Marseille’s stadium was generally hostile as Spurs struggled to get off to a good start on Tuesday night before coming out on top.

The club’s Twitter account also referenced the fireworks with a tweet that simply read “BANG!” after the winner of Hojbjerg.

Meanwhile, Richarlison tweeted, “Great job tonight guys! COYS.
