Halsey gets real about the challenges they faced in the industry trying to promote a new album while pregnant.
The 26-year-old singer has released his fourth album, If I can’t have love I want power, Friday August 27. To promote it, the star told Apple Music 1 Zane Lowe to lose media opportunities while expecting their first child, Ender, who Halsey and screenwriter Alev Aydin hosted on July 14.
“There were posts that were like… You know, we’d go out and try to put up magazine covers based on the album’s release, and they’d be like, ‘Yeah, but is she going? to be pregnant? Because we don’t “I don’t want to do a maternity blanket,” Halsey recalls.
“And I was like, it’s not a maternity blanket,” the “Bad at Love” singer continued. “It’s about my album – I’m just pregnant. And they’re like, ‘No, that’s a pregnant cover.’ And I was like, ‘So I can’t talk about my album?’ “
