Gerard Butler has revealed a terrifying moment he had while working with Hilary Swank during the making of the 2007 romantic comedy, ‘PS I Love You’.

As the star of the new ‘Plane’ movie chatted with Drew Barrymore about his career on ‘The Drew Barrymore Show,’ the rom-com came and he revealed that – while he had fun working with Swank – ” I almost killed her.”

The “300” star went on to describe how a funny striptease went wrong during the two days they filmed the bedroom scene.

In the scene, Butler is supposed to snap his suspenders so hard that it causes the clip attached to his cloverleaf boxers to fly off. In the final version of the film, the clip punches him in the face.

But that’s not what happened that day of filming.

“The cameramen had plastic faceplates to protect themselves from that alligator clip, it was so dangerous,” Butler told Barrymore. “I had to ping on it and it went past my face. I crawl to the bed, it gets stuck, it lets go, flies over my head, hits [Swank] in the head, cut off his head, I opened it.

“She needs to be taken to the hospital,” Butler continued. “Within three seconds everyone’s gone and I’m just sitting there in my boxers and my boots and a pair of socks and I just started crying.”

“I just scared Hilary Swank, almost gouged out her eye, made a fool of myself for two days and that’s all I have to show for it,” he recalled thinking at the time. . “She’s gone to the hospital, there’s no one on set.”

Fortunately, Swank was fine, and it seems the two had a good laugh about it. They have been photographed together since starring in the film.
