Two FBI agents briefly visited Brian Laundrie’s home in North Port, Florida on Sunday morning and asked his parents for some of their son’s personal items to help them “match DNA”, lawyer says of the family.

“The FBI requested personal items belonging to Brian Laundrie to help them match DNA and Brian’s parents provided the FBI with what they could,” Laundries lawyer Steven Bertolino told Fox News Sunday. .

Officers could be seen walking inside the screened porch with a clipboard and leaving with a brown paper bag around 11:00 am.

Sunday’s FBI visit comes nearly a week after around 20 agents stormed the family’s home and spent about six hours there. A white van and several unmarked vehicles were loaded with various boxes and suitcases before the officers left in the afternoon.

The parents of Brian Laundrie, a person of interest in activities surrounding Gabby Petito’s disappearance, reported his disappearance to police on September 17, saying they had not seen him for three days.

Law enforcement spent more than a week searching for laundry facilities in the Carlton Preserve, an inhospitable 24,000-acre swamp reserve about 15 miles from the family’s home.

The United States District Court of Wyoming issued a federal arrest warrant for Laundrie on Thursday, alleging he committed debit card fraud between August 30 and September 1.

Petito’s remains were found a week ago in the Teton-Bridger National Forest in Wyoming and the FBI on Tuesday said his death was a homicide.

A memorial service for Petito, who was traveling across the country with Laundrie when she disappeared in late August, was held on Long Island on Sunday. At least 1,000 people attended the service by 3:00 p.m. ET.
