Future strategist and best-selling author John Sanei says the company should “prepare for all eventualities” when looking to the future, while adding that there is no way to truly future-proof the future.
“The only thing we can manage is our behavior and if we create future-adaptive behavior, then it doesn’t matter what the future holds. And so there is no more certaintyhe told Euronews.
John was speaking at the inaugural Dubai Future Forum at the Museum of the Future in the emirate. He said, “It’s amazing to have 400 of the world’s best futurists under one umbrella and discuss the same challenges we face and learn from each other, which I really don’t think has been done that often. ..to be able to share the lessons of them makes us all better and more whole and ready to help the world prepare for the future.”
His latest book is entitled “Who are we becoming? and questions ‘what do we value?’ Answering his own question, he said: “I think for me, valuing peace, harmony and symbiosis becomes very important. And within that you find a lot of wealth. And I think the way for us to think about wealth for the future is to spell it right.’
Looking ahead and 2023 in particular, he says: “What we have to realize is that for something new to be born, we have to see the implosion of the old, adding, I always tell my audience, if you wake up every morning knowing that the world must crumble for a new one to arrive, you become stronger and more resilient in this process.
