Fulham star fumes on Instagram as team-mate smashes his windscreen a year after Aleksandar Mitrovic did it

Fulham star Tom Cairney couldn’t believe it when he returned to his car to find his windscreen shattered – again.

And for the second time, the culprit was a Fulham team-mate, whose capricious shot managed to hit his vehicle.

The playmaker took to Instagram to reveal the damage caused, this time by Rodrigo Muniz.

Writing on his Instagram Story, Cairney first blamed Carlos Vinicius in a furious post.

But when the real culprit was revealed, the Scotland international apologized to the former Tottenham man.

“Wish our attackers could shoot,” Cairney wrote alongside an angry swearing emoji.

“How is that even possible? @CarlosVinicius95 F*** you!”

But in a later post, he said: “Apologies @CarlosVinicius95, it was the other Brazilian, @rodrigomuniz019!”

It remains to be seen whether Fulham are using medicine balls for their forwards to practice as the damage to Cairney’s car looked brutal.

The entire windscreen was shattered while his vehicle was parked in the car park at the club’s training ground.

However, it’s remarkably not the first time this has happened in Cairney – Aleksandar Mitrovic last causing the damage in August 2022.

The Serbia international, who has since left West London for Saudi Arabia, said: “It’s true that I broke Tom’s window but it wasn’t on purpose.

“His car was behind the goal when we were finishing training.

“I missed a shot, the ball went over the fence and it was so hot that day that it hit the windscreen and broke it.”

But was Mitrovic in the mood to apologize? Certainly not, as he sent the Fulham team a photo of himself smiling next to the car.

Cairney posted the snap with the caption, “He sent this in the group chat. Looks like he’s feeling really guilty, don’t you think?”
