‘Frozen penis’ leaves skier in ‘unbearable pain’ at Winter Olympics after temperatures plummet in cross-country race

A cross-country skier has revealed the ‘unbearable pain’ of suffering a ‘frozen penis’ during the men’s 50km cross-country skiing event at the Winter Olympics.

Saturday’s race was shortened to 30km due to strong winds and difficult conditions.

A skier was left with a horrific crotch injury

Athletes had to brave treacherous icy conditions in a long run that typically sees them burn over 1,000 calories per hour.

And unfortunately for Finnish skier Remi Lindholm, the length reduction didn’t prevent him from sustaining an unusual injury to one of the most sensitive parts of his body.

Speaking after the event, Lindholm revealed he suffered a crotch injury as he admitted the event was one of the toughest competitions he has entered.

“You can guess which part of the body was a bit frozen when I finished,” the Finn, who finished 28th, told IL.

“It was one of the worst competitions I’ve been to. It was just about fighting.

“When the body parts started to warm up after the finish, the pain was unbearable,” he added.

Musgrave was not happy the course was cut short due to the conditions

A Briton taking part in the event, Andrew Musgrave, remained livid at the decision to shorten the event.

The Scot tweeted: “They just shortened the Olympic 50k because it’s a bit cold and windy.

“I don’t think it will make it any warmer or less windy. What a fucking joke!”

After finishing 12th, he said after the event: “I thought it was a ridiculous decision.

“If it’s warm enough to run, I don’t see why doing an hour and a quarter or 30 km, versus two hours for 50 km, would make the situation better.

He said the pain was ‘unbearable’

“It’s always the same temperature, it’s always the same wind.

“I really couldn’t do anything about it and just had to go out and make the most of it.

“I’m a little annoyed. The 50k is supposed to be the ultimate endurance race and I felt like it wasn’t quite the same.

Try telling Lindholm that…
