French police use tear gas against participants in a protest against pension reform

PARIS (Sputnik) – Police fired tear gas during a protest against pension reform in Paris, a Sputnik correspondent reported on Tuesday.

The second national strike against pension reform takes place in France on Tuesday, with more than 200 demonstrations across the country. Police expect 1.2 million people to take part in protests across France and 100,000 people in Paris.

The protest march in Paris started at 13:30 GMT from Place d’Italie and will continue to Place Vauban. Tens of thousands of people are taking part in the protest, including representatives from various industries and youth organizations.
