Frank Lampard reveals Tottenham’s White Hart Lane was his favorite away pitch due to the number of goals and victories he had there as a Chelsea man.
To add insult to injury to Spurs fans, the Blues legend revealed a hilarious joke that took the name of the club’s former home ground and replaced it with three damning words.
Lampard really enjoyed playing against Spurs at White Hart Lane and in 12 games for the Blues he has amassed five wins and found the net four times.
Speaking to Man United legend Gary Neville on his YouTube channel The Overlap, Lampard couldn’t help but talk about his former rivals.
“Tottenham,” Lampard said when asked what his favorite away court was, “We beat them a lot.”
Neville made the misery even worse when he backed Lampard’s statement by saying, “We all did it.”
Lampard continued: “Chelsea had something before I came to the club where they called it ‘Three Point Lane’ rather than White Hart Lane and they used to go there and win.”
Even after Lampard’s retirement, he still enjoyed success as a manager when he supervised his team for a 2-0 triumph at the club’s new ground on the first attempt.
The wins and the laughs never seemed to end for the Blues and fans were keen to point out that any time Spurs had a rare victory it would be a nightmare for them as they would make “DVDs for the next 10 years” of them. .
