YouTube has accused Dan Bongino of trying to circumvent a temporary suspension for violating its Covid-19 misinformation policy

Fox News host Dan Bongino has been permanently banned from YouTube after posting a video questioning the effectiveness of masks against Covid-19.

Bongino’s “Dan Bongino Show Clips” channel received a temporary suspension on January 20 after posting the video criticizing the masks.

YouTube’s “medical misinformation policy” prohibits users from claiming “that masks play no role in preventing the contraction or transmission of COVID-19. »

Users are also prohibited from claiming “that wearing a mask is dangerous or has negative effects on physical health.”

After one of Bongino’s other YouTube channels later posted a separate video, the platform banned him entirely on Wednesday for violating a policy against circumventing suspensions using other channels.

“When a channel receives a warning, it’s against our terms of service to post content or use another channel to get around the suspension,” YouTube explained in a statement. “If a channel is terminated, the uploader may not use, own, or create any other YouTube channels.”

Bongino – who hosts the Fox News show ‘Unfiltered with Dan Bongino’ – will no longer be able to upload videos to YouTube through any channel for life and all of his videos have been permanently deleted.

In a statement, Bongino accused YouTube to be managed by “communists” and claimed that the platform was trying to “save face” banishing him after he announced he would soon be leaving him for a contestant.
