Former Real Madrid star Keylor Navas snubs Cristiano Ronaldo reunion at Al-Nassr to join Nottingham Forest on loan from Paris Saint-Germain

Paris Saint-Germain star Keylor Navas has refused to reunite with Cristiano Ronaldo in favor of a loan move to Nottingham Forest.
The Costa Rican international had been at the center of a standoff between Forest and Saudi side Al-Nassr, who recently signed Ronaldo on a record-breaking salary after leaving Manchester United.

But the Premier League side won the battle in a major boost for Steve Cooper’s side, with the 36-year-old accepting Forest’s bid over Al-Nassr.
Navas was lucky to reunite with Ronaldo in Saudi Arabia, with the two winning three Champions League titles together at Real Madrid.
However, the PSG man wants to try his hand at keeping Forest in the Premier League on a big payday.
The Costa Rican has fallen down the pecking order at the Parc des Princes, where Gianluigi Donnarumma is firmly the first choice.
Al Nassr had growing interest in Navas throughout the month as PSG were in Saudi Arabia to play in an exhibition clash.
Navas actually conceded a penalty in the game by punching former Los Blancos teammate Ronaldo in the face, leaving him with a black eye – so it’s no surprise he’s in no rush to reunite with the superstar Portuguese so soon.

Former Arsenal star David Ospina is currently Al Nassr’s first choice but the Colombian is currently injured.
However, a short-term move to Forest is now the likeliest option, with Bournemouth among the other clubs interested.
What that means this summer remains to be seen, but Forest boss Cooper will be delighted if he lands the world-class goalkeeper to fill the void left by injured No1 Dean Henderson.
The Manchester United loanee faces a long spell on the sidelines through injury while the City Ground side can’t afford to let their recent form slip as they look to stay in the squad. head.

Forest had a stellar January, winning two and drawing their last four Premier League games to soar.
They currently sit in 13th place but remain just four points clear of the relegation zone and any drop in form could spell disaster.
