FULTON County, Ga. (CBS46) – Police officers in Sandy Springs saved the life of a driver after his car caught fire.
The flaming car crash happened around 2 a.m. on Friday near Roswell Road and Long Island Drive. Police said it was a single car accident.
When officers responded to the scene, they learned that the driver was trapped inside the car and was unresponsive.
As part of teamwork, effort officers extinguished the flames while other officers rescued the driver from the rapidly spreading fire.

The video shows the rescue of the driver, once the driver got out of his car it was completely set on fire.
Police said the driver was identified as Angel Ramirez-Arrieta, 20, and investigation revealed he was driving under the influence of alcohol.
Ramirez-Arrieta was arrested and charged with lane violation, reckless driving and drunk driving.
