The fire started around 2:30 p.m. this Wednesday on the top of the facade of 26, rue du Lieutenant-de-Vaisseau-Paris, in Brest, in the Recouvrance district. The facade was in a facelift, like that of neighboring buildings. The painters, having trouble containing the flames, called the firefighters, but, on their arrival, they noticed that the flames were extinguished, a priori using a high-pressure cleaner-type device. A painter was injured in the hand.
The firefighters, called for a building fire, intervened quickly with two vans, a ladder, an ambulance and the group leader, or 18 firefighters. Police were also at the scene. The inspection completed, all danger removed, everyone left at 3:15 p.m.
