Favoritism case: Dussopt will “continue to convince of (his) good faith”

Labor Minister Olivier Dussopt “challenges” the idea of an “arrangement” with a water treatment distribution group when he was mayor of Annonay and will “continue to convince of (his) good faith” , he said on Saturday on France Inter.
In addition Matignon affirmed, this Saturday morning, that Minister Dussopt retains “all the confidence of the Prime Minister”.
According to information from the day before, the National Financial Prosecutor’s Office (PNF) retained the offense of “favouritism” for a future trial against Olivier Dussopt, which will relate to a public contract concluded at the end of the 2000s with the Saur group, a blow for the minister on the front line on pension reform.
Shortly after the publication of an article Friday evening by Mediapart on the subject, the Minister of Labor indicated that the PNF had retained the offense of “favoritism” in an investigation which initially concerned two works of art received as gifts in 2017 .
