WEEK 13 FANTASY: Sleepers | Busts | Start them, sit them down

Darren Waller’s injury update

UPDATE: Waller did not train on Thursday.

As expected, Waller (knee) missed practice on Wednesday, and he’ll almost certainly be ruled out for Week 13. The Raiders take on Washington, and we’ve ranked Foster Moreau as one of the better streaming options. Washington is just a neutral matchup for the TEs, but that offense carries TEs regardless, as shown by Moreau’s 6-60-1 line against the Eagles when Waller was inactive earlier this year.

Moreau ranks as our TE14 in the Standard and PPR leagues and has the potential of TE1.

STANDARD RANKING FOR WEEK 13:
quarterback | Back | Wide receiver | Tight end | D / ST | Kicker

DeAndre Hopkins Injury Update

UPDATE: Barring a setback, Hopkins is expected to play in Week 13.

On Wednesday, Hopkins (hamstring) returned to training on Wednesday for the first time in a month and is expected to play against Chicago. Chicago is a last-10 defense against the fantastic spreaders, and Hopkins should be as healthy as he has been all season. Plus, Kyler Murray is expected to return.

Hopkins is our WR6 in the Standard and PPR leagues. If he’s absent, Christian Kirk becomes a staple, AJ Green becomes a high-end flexible option, and Rondale Moore becomes a low-end flexible piece.

WEEK 13 PPR RANKS:
quarterback | Back | Wide receiver | Tight end | D / ST | Kicker

Pat Freiermuth Injury Update.

UPDATE: Freiermuth remained a full participant in training on Thursday, so there is little to no concern that he will play against the Ravens.

Freiermuth (concussion) trained in full on Wednesday and tends to be able to play against the Ravens. We’ll keep you posted on its latest status, but for now add it to your queues.

Baltimore is a top five defense against fantastic TEs, so we like Freiermuth as TE9 as standard and TE8 in PPR leagues.

Sterling Shepard Injury Update

UPDATE: Shepard was a limited participant in Thursday’s practice.

Shepard (quad) hasn’t trained on Wednesday, and he appears to have a 50/50 shot to play against Miami. Despite Miami’s recent defensive resurgence, its defense still ranks third among weakest units against fantasy WRs. That said, Daniel Jones (neck) is up in the air, so Shepard’s fantastic outlook is hard to gauge.

All in all, he should always command a ton of targets, so we think it’s worth taking the bet if he plays – especially if Kadarius Toney (see below) is missing. Shepard ranks as our WR22 in Standard Leagues and WR20 in PPR Leagues. His ground should be fairly secure in the PPR leagues, but his standard outlook could be hampered by Glennon.

Kadarius Toney Injury Update

UPDATE: Toney did not train on Wednesday.

Toney (quad) hasn’t trained on Wednesday, and his status is on the fence, as is Shepard. Toney has a fantastic vision similar to Shepard’s (see above), but he has a lower story but a higher cap in the favorable game with Miami.

Toney is the WR27 as standard and WR26 in the PPR leagues. If Shepard and Toney are out, Kenny Golladay is expected to make a low-end WR2 and Darius Slayton has a flexible appeal.
