On December 30, 2020, as the new Yemeni unity government flight had just landed, an explosion occurred at Aden airport, followed by an exchange of fire. Images of the scene were posted on social media.
AFP reports that a second explosion also occurred at the airport. The explosions took place as officials began to descend from the aircraft.
At least five people are believed to have died and around 20 injured, according to information from the Sputnik agency.
