Founders of early-stage, student-led startups take note – we’ve upped the ante and expanded the TechCrunch Student Pitch competition (Powered by Blackstone LaunchPad).
Our video-pitch contest is now open to all college and university students. Application and participation are 100% free – no purchase at a TechCrunch event is necessary. Here’s what you need to know and do to compete for a chance to win free passes — and more — for TechCrunch disrupts in San Francisco from October 18 to 20.
A little reminder : This is a video contest only – no one will be pitching at Disrupt.
This pitch competition is industry independent and we encourage students building in any vertical to apply. While we’re happy to consider applications from students with a working MVP, the ultimate winners will be a mix of student-led startups in the ideation stage, with a product/market fit and those who identify as scale-ups.
Applying for the competition is a simple three-step process.
- Record a 60 second video of your presentation
- Complete this request and answer a few quick questions about your startup
- Submit your application and your video
Don’t miss the deadline: You have to submit your application before September 9and we will notify participants on September 18.
Why apply to compete? The art of pitching is an essential skill that every startup founder should possess, and practice makes perfect. Also, check out the price package.
