Good evening and welcome to this live dedicated to the Head of State’s address scheduled for 8 p.m.

Emmanuel Macron sends his wishes to the French population at the end of a particularly trying year, marked by an epidemic which does not abate. The health crisis remains the priority of the president who delivers, this Thursday at the time of the curfew, his ninth televised address this year.

According to government spokesperson Gabriel Attal, the head of state will have “A message of truth and transparency over an extremely difficult year for the country”. He should also “Give perspectives on the future” with “The arrival of the vaccine” and “Our economy which must restart”, and a “Message of unity”.
