US OPEN champion Emma Raducanu is back in training just a week after her historic triumph at Flushing Meadows.
The 18-year-old tennis ace is the first British woman to win a Grand Slam singles title since 1977 and has shared a few snaps from her time in New York.
Raducanu passed close to a MONTH in the Big Apple when she was due to qualify for the women’s singles event at the US Open.
The teenager shared several photos during her remarkable title run, eventually beating Leylah Fernandes 6-4, 6-3 in the final.
Raducanu then took in the best of New York City and even saw a Nike billboard of herself in the heart of the famous American city.
She also attended the Met Gala, one of the world’s most exclusive social events, alongside sports icons Naomi Osaka and Lewis Hamilton.
As a big fan of motorsport, Raducanu was particularly excited to be around seven-time F1 champion Hamilton.
Speaking to the BBC breakfast about his experiences in New York City, Raducanu said: “I’ve managed to attend some really cool events and places.
