TYSON FURY should then fight Dillian Whyte.

That’s the point of view of Anthony Joshua’s Matchroom promoter, Eddie Hearn.

Fury successfully defended his WBC heavyweight champion belt in Las Vegas this weekend – with Whyte now a mandatory challenger.

There have been calls for the Gypsy King to face Joshua or his recent attacker Oleksandr Usyk, but Hearn doesn’t care.

He told IFL TV: “Dillian Whyte is Tyson Fury’s attorney, and that will be called in 30 days.

“Obviously, Dillian has a massive fight at the O2 with Otto Wallin, but he’s Tyson Fury’s mandatory challenger.

“It’s a brilliant fight. I would love to see Tyson back in the UK. He hasn’t boxed in the UK for three or four years. It’s a massive fight for the division.

“You have to give Dillian credit for going there. He fought [Alexander] Povetkin before, and he had to come back and win this rematch.

“Now he’s going into another tough fight against Otto Wallin, and he’s ready to make a statement on October 30 and then go ahead and fight Tyson Fury.

“It is mandatory now.”

Despite Hearn’s call for Fury to confront her man, the Gypsy King’s father John strongly disagrees.

He told talkSPORT: “He must go for Usyk or nothing in my mind. It’s Usyk then or nothing.

“I wouldn’t bother with the others, they’re not in Tyson’s class.

“Would Dillian Whyte deal with Deontay Wilder?” No. So why would you want to put him with my son and knock him out?

“THIS IS A MASSIVE EVENT”

“In the end, he was just knocked out by a 42-year-old man (Alexander Povetkin) via a slap on the back of his hand.”

But Hearn sees no reason why Fury would dodge the fight against Whyte and has said that’s what fans want.

He added: “I don’t see why Tyson wouldn’t want to fight Dillian Whyte.

“It’s a huge paycheck and a massive event, and then the winner of this fight can go and fight AJ’s winner against Usyk.

“The WBC statement was pretty clear. Fury v Wilder winner must fight interim world champion [Whyte].

“If Fury becomes the franchise champion, we cannot fight the undisputed fight.

“As fans, we should call Tyson Fury vs. Dillian Whyte. Imagine the build-up, imagine the fight.

“He makes well over a million à la carte purchases, sells a stadium. This is the fight.

“The winner fights the winner of Oleksandr Usyk against Anthony Joshua II.”
