Eddie Hearn and Frank Warren are still working out a deal despite Tyson Fury saying Anthony Joshua fight is over

Even though Tyson Fury has announced his fight with Anthony Joshua is over, promoters on both sides remain positive.

Negotiations for the ‘Battle of Britain’ had progressed well after Joshua agreed to Fury’s terms to fight on December 3, with a 60/40 split in favor of ‘The Gypsy King’, changing to a 50/ 50 in the rematch should ‘AJ’ win the first fight.

Fury said a fight with Joshua is no longer on the table

Since then, however, the whole deal appears to have fallen apart after Fury became frustrated that Joshua had yet to sign the contract and he set a Monday deadline of 5 p.m. for the deal. be concluded.

Deadline came and went without Joshua signing, as he explained that the contracts were currently with his lawyers, and Fury then announced on social media that the fight was off the table and that he would be fighting Mahmoud Charr. in place.

Despite Fury’s announcement, his promoter Frank Warren told talkSPORT he was still working to make the fight happen.

“We’re trying to do that by today,” Warren said. “We are working very hard to get it through.

“If everyone agreed on everything, it would be a huge undertaking, but we could do it this way.

“Tyson told me what he wanted. They’ve had the contract for ten days and he’s losing patience.

That sentiment was echoed by Joshua’s promoter, Eddie Hearn, who posted on Twitter saying, “Agree with Frank!”

Hearn went on to say, “There have been several positive calls today between promoters and broadcasters who are all working hard to finalize the fight.

“There hasn’t been talk of a delay between the parties, but we are moving at a steady pace to try and get the deal done.”
