DraftKings Picks Week 13: NFL DFS Composition Tips for Daily Fantasy GPP Football Tournaments

The NFL season enters Week 13, still leaving a third of the regular season action to come. Last week another wave of big name injuries were inflicted, but we’re not jumping on too many alleged DFS chalk games. We don’t always go out of our way to force a stack into our rosters, but we’ll be pairing up Kyler Murray with rookie wide receiver Rondale Moore for our DraftKings Week 13 roster. Pairing a QB stud with a boom-or-bust WR can prove successful in GPP tournaments.

Before we detail our choices, here are the most notable scoring rules for DraftKings contests: PPR full point, Four Point Pass TDs, three point bonus per 100 rushing yards, 100 receiving yards, and 300 passing yards.

DraftKings Picks Week 13: NFL DFS lineup for GPP tournaments

main Sunday slate, budget of $ 50,000

QB Kyler Murray, Cardinals @ Bears ($ 7,500). Murray (ankle) was set to play in Week 11, but with the bye looming, the Cardinals decided against pushing him. Even including Murray’s Week 8 misfire in which he injured his ankle, he only managed to reach 20.0 DraftKings points in two games. Presumably 100 percent healthy – or as close to 100 percent as can be at this point – Murray will be eager to start another interesting streak of performances.

RB James Robinson, Jaguars @ Rams ($ 6,200). Robinson has just hit 20 touches, the first time he’s hit that mark since week 6. It looks like the bruised heel that forced him to miss a game is behind him. The Rams are big favorites at home, but Robinson’s role on the ground and in the air makes him a high-volume selection that could slip under the DFS radar this week.

RB Antonio Gibson, Washington @ Raiders ($ 5,700). Gibson continues to consume volume – his 36 keys on Monday night were easily a career high. The hope on Sunday is that Gibson doesn’t cede multiple scores to JD McKissic / Jaret Patterson, but it’s reasonable to expect his touchdowns to come now that he’s receiving so many touches.

WR Brandon Aiyuk, 49ers @ Seahawks ($ 5,600). The 49ers will be deprived of Deebo Samuel (groin) for 1-2 weeks, meaning they will be deprived of their main target in the passing game (92) and second busiest in terms of touches (81). This workload will trickle down to the rest of the offensive, including Aiyuk. The second-year wide receiver has been playing better lately, scoring double-digit DK points in four of his last five games, and he believes he is heavily involved on Sunday.

WR Odell Beckham Jr., Rams vs. Jaguars ($ 5,500). The Rams have had more success incorporating Beckham into their offense after their leave. Beckham shot 10 targets and finished with a 5-81-1 line, good for 19.1 DK points, his best outing of the season. With a reintroduction into the type of production he is capable of delivering, he is an attractive piece at his modest salary.

WR Darnell Mooney, Bears vs. Cardinals ($ 5,600). Mooney has scored 20.0 or more DK points in three straight games, including back-to-back five catches and 120 yards. It doesn’t matter who is in the center of the Bears on Sunday – and with or without Allen Robinson (hamstring) – we love that Mooney dominates the targets and is able to produce another fantastic performance.

quarterback | Back | Wide receiver | Tight end | D / ST | Kicker

TE Mark Andrews, Ravens @ Steelers ($ 6,000). Andrews has scored 10 targets in three of his last four games and has scored at least 15.3 DK points in three straight games. The tight end position is a minefield of duds, so we’re happy to pay for one of the very few reliable options available to us this week.

FLEX Rondale Moore, Cardinals @ Bears ($ 4,700). Moore’s effectiveness in Week 11 may not have been a highlight (4.64 yards per catch), but we had to note that he caught all 11 targets. Moore is a solid bet to see increased involvement come out of the bye, and we can often count on him to be involved on the ground as well as in the air.

quarterback | Back | Wide receiver | Tight end | D / ST | Kicker

DEF Giants @ Dolphins ($ 2,700). The Giants haven’t played badly lately, at least on the defensive end of the ball. They have kept the Chiefs at 20 points and have scored 13.0 or more DK points three times since Week 7. The Dolphins have won four in a row and are playing better overall, but we’re not ready yet. to be afraid of them.
