In a strange tease, Donald Trump Jr. told his followers on Twitter that he could release information regarding Area 51 during a boxing match on Saturday night for which he and his father were scheduled to comment.
He and the former president promoted a boxing match between Evander Holyfield and Vitor Belfort, where they called a live match of the events at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida.
Trump Jr. in a tweet said he would pressure his dad in Area 51 during the event.
“We’re going to have a few hours, we’re going to be asking a lot of great questions,” he said in the video. “I’m definitely asking about aliens because I think now maybe we’re getting a solid answer on what’s going on in Area 51 and everywhere else.”
“You’re going to want to listen. You’re going to want to plug in,” he added.
The former president has been criticized for agreeing to serve as a commentator for a boxing match on the anniversary of September 11. His niece Mary lambasted the move, calling it “shameful”.
“If another former president decided to spend September 11 commenting on a pay-per-view boxing match, people… their heads would explode,” she told CNN’s Anderson Cooper Thursday night.
“If there’s no backlash to the right for this,” she continued, “then that tells us everything we need to know about the current state of the Republican Party, and it tells us that Democrats really need to start to understand. the fact that this is not a party that you can work with, it is not a party that should be conceded. “
