talkSPORT’s Darren Bent has insisted he will keep Martin Odegaard at Arsenal even if it means they sign Jude Bellingham.
The latter has already made an impression at Real Madrid since his summer transfer from Borussia Dortmund, scoring in every competitive game he has played for them, including a stoppage-time winner this weekend.

His talent has been evident since he started his career at Birmingham City and at just 20 years old there is still a lot to come.
The midfielder is proving to be one of the best players in world football, but Arsenal fan Bent seems to favor one of his own.
When asked on Drive if he would swap Odegaard for the Madrid star, he replied: “Bellingham? I love him, I love him. But the question I was asked in the pre-show planning meeting was, would I trade Odegaard for him.
“And no, I’m not trading our captain, one of our influential players. At this precise moment, I will keep Odegaard, thank you.
His co-host Andy Goldstein was stunned and replied: “Wait, you own Arsenal, the phone says ‘Hello, this is Real Madrid here, do you want to swap Bellingham for Odegaard?’ Would you say no? »
Bent was there to keep his word, replying, “I would say no. I would keep Odegaard. Our captain, our leader. He is a source of inspiration.
He added: “I think Bellingham is probably a better player, but given the current situation at Arsenal, with Odegaard being the captain, I’m not trading him.”
“Yeah, but not in this position,” Bent replied when asked if he would improve the Gunners. “I would trade Kai Havertz for him in a heartbeat. I would play (Declan) Rice, Bellingham and Odegaard.

“Here are your three, but I’m not going to take the captaincy away from Odegaard and tell him, ‘here we go.’ I’m not doing that.”
Bent nevertheless hailed the youngster for his efforts at Madrid so far, adding: “What Bellingham is doing there is unheard of.
“I think it’s not negative, the arrogance of going to this club and almost saying to yourself, ‘I don’t care if it’s Toni Kroos, it’s (Luka) Modric, it’s Vinicius Jr, I’ll show everyone I’m the main man.
“Even in some celebrations, arms wide open to the supporters. Honestly, I sincerely hope he stays at this football club for ten years.”
