Dangerous speed and slippery conditions lead to fatal crash in Nolan County | KTA

NOLAN COUNTY, TX (KTAB/KRBC) – Wet road conditions coupled with high speeds resulted in a fatal crash Thursday morning in Nolan County.
Texas DPS said Jason Jesus Soto of Hereford, Texas was driving a Toyota Tacoma pickup truck as it traveled west on U.S. Highway 84 near mile post 438 when he lost control of the vehicle.
Dangerous speed along with the weather and wet road conditions caused the 29-year-old to run off the road and into the center median in a sideways skid that flipped the vehicle.
The driver was pronounced dead at 9:45 a.m.
According to the DPS, the posted speed limit in the zone is 75 mph and the driver was wearing a seat belt when the crash occurred.
