In the first teaser of Daisy Jones and the sixpublished by Prime Video on January 25, Riley KeoughThe titular musician asks a powerful question: “Listen, I know I said I’d tell you everything, but how much of everything do you really want to know?”
The limited series based on the book by Taylor Jenkins Reid— who quoted MacFleetwood as one of the novel’s inspirations – details the rise and fall of a 70s supergroup at its peak.
“Their music made them famous,” the trailer suggests. “Their breakup made them legends.”
And in addition to giving a glimpse of the magic on stage between Daisy and the leader of the Six Billy Dunne (Sam Clafin), the teaser also showcases the turmoil behind the scenes: from heartbreak to a physical altercation between the band members. But as the logline notes, the series doesn’t just go back in time because, “Now, decades later, the band members finally come to terms with the truth. This is the story of how a iconic band imploded at the height of its powers.”
