‘Daily Show’ guest Al Franken reminds Susan Collins of her failure

“Daily Show” guest host Al Franken closed his week behind the desk with impressions from four of his former Senate colleagues.

The subject was Tuesday’s contentious House hearings on TikTok as lawmakers from both parties slammed CEO Shou Zi Chew over the popular app’s security risks as well as its close ties to the Chinese government.

But the latter took a turn when Franken used his impression to remind Collins of his decisive vote in favor of confirming Brett Kavanaugh as Supreme Court justice.

“I worry about the use of artificial intelligence,” Franken said, mimicking Collins’ distinctive voice. “Because I saw a deeply fake video of me saying I trust Brett Kavanaugh to defend Roe v. Wade. Can you tell me that I don’t trust him? Because that’s what I said!
