After the soccer star was dropped from the Portugal national team’s starting line-up in their World Cup Round of 16 match against Switzerland on December 6, his replacement, Goncarlo Ramosscored a hat trick during the match – his partner shared his frustration with the coach Fernando Santos‘ decision.
“Congratulations to Portugal,” Georgina wrote on Instagram on November 6 after Portugal’s 6-1 win. “While the 11 players sang the anthem, all the goals went to you. What a shame he couldn’t enjoy the best player in the world for 90 minutes. The fans kept calling for you and shouting your name. Cristiano, who days earlier apparently expressed his disapproval as he was substituted in Portugal’s Dec. 2 match against South Korea, finally took to the pitch during the second half of the match against Switzerland . However, Georgina, 28, who shares daughters Alana5, and bella8 months, as well as a son, Angelwho died with the footballer, was not the only one to react to the 37-year-old’s withdrawal from the starting line-up.
