Crime Reports: Abilene tire store says suspect cut fence and stole wheels from customer’s vehicle | KTAB

Incidents
1900 block of Portland Avenue – Gun theft
Firearms and computers worth thousands of dollars have been stolen in South Abilene.
Block 300 of Butternut Street – criminal mischief
A victim reported that a stranger cut his fence.
Block 3300 of E Overland Trail – Property Theft
Tires and a tool worth over $3,000 were reported stolen.
Block 400 ES 11th Street – Vehicle Burglary
An Abilene business official reported that an unknown suspect entered two vehicles at his business and stole a $400 camera and charger.
4000 Block of S 1st Street – Property Theft
A car dealership manager reported that a suspect purchased several vehicles with a check from a closed account.
4500 Block of S 1st Street – Credit or Debit Card Abuse
Block 100 of E Overland Trail – Vehicle Burglary
A $600 laptop was stolen in North Abilene.
4500 Block of S 1st Street – Credit or Debit Card Abuse
A wallet worth $100 was reported stolen.
1500 Block of S Clack Street – Property Theft
A vehicle repair shop manager reported that an unknown suspect ripped holes in their fence and stole 4 wheels worth $4,500 from a customer’s vehicle. There is security camera footage.
4500 Block of S 1st Street – Credit or Debit Card Abuse
1000 block of Rodgers Street – criminal mischief
A victim reported that her boyfriend had damaged his passenger side window.
1500 Block of Park Avenue – Residential Burglary
A victim reported that a riding mower, air compressors and other items worth over $5,000 were stolen.
1600 Block of Highway 351 – Property Theft
A couple is charged with price swapping at an Abilene store.
1500 block of Sycamore Street – aggravated assault grievous bodily harm
A victim was shot dead by an unknown person in his home.
4900 Block of S 5th Street – Property Theft
Jewelry and a cell phone worth $1,600 were stolen.
1100 block of S 15th Street – aggravated assault
Police responded to a residence in South Abilene after a victim reported that an armed suspect stole her car.
500 block from Palm Street – Assault Family Violence
A suspect has been arrested for domestic violence.
Arrests
Michael Martinez – Mandate
Martinez was contacted during a disruption and found to have an active warrant.
Natasha Rowden – Mandate
Rowden was contacted in reference to an armed suspect call and was found to have an active warrant.
Sam Hidalgo – Bail Breach/Protection Order
Hidalgo is charged with violating a protection order by being within 300 meters of a protected person.
Jonathan Hale – Public Intoxication
Hale was contacted during a service call, where he threatened to walk into oncoming traffic. He showed signs of intoxication and was arrested for being a danger to himself and others.
Amanda Skipper – Public Intoxication
Skipper was found intoxicated in a public place. She acted belligerently and was arrested for being a danger to herself and others.
Sedrick Jackson – possession of marijuana
Jackson was pulled over for speeding in a school zone. Officers smelled marijuana and he was found in possession of some marijuana and was arrested.
Richard Fuqua – Property Theft
Fuqua is accused of writing two checks totaling $99,477.06 to purchase two vehicles and was arrested after the checks were refunded because they came from a closed account.
Elizabeth Stephens – Theft of Property, Criminal Trespassing, Possession of Controlled Substances
Stephens is accused of taking $500 from an Abilene store. During a subsequent search, she was also found in possession of 6 pills.
Brandon Stephens – Property Theft
Stephens is accused of taking $500 worth of merchandise from an Abilene store.
Davion Woodards – Public Intoxication
Woodards was contacted while attempting to inflate his tires at a gas station, but when officers arrived both tires blew out and the radiator fell out. He showed signs of intoxication and was arrested.
Gilbert Paiz – Aggression Domestic Violence
Paiz is accused of slapping a victim in the face during a disturbance. He was stopped.
