Editor’s Note: The following arrest and incident reports were provided by the Abilene Police Department. All of the information below comes from reports written by responding officers, and all suspects are considered not guilty unless a court orders otherwise.
Incidents
1700 block of Denali Drive – criminal mischief
Police responded to criminal mischief. The victim says her ex might be the suspect.
Block 2900 of Old Anson Road – Property Theft
Man says known suspect took his wallet and coins worth $120
Block 5100 Laguna Drive – criminal mischief
A victim reported that his truck’s fog light had been damaged.
2100 Block of N 6th Street – Property Theft
A victim reports that he left his electric wheelchair worth $9,000 at an address after a rainstorm and is now missing.
Block 900 Nelson Drive – Assault, Domestic Violence – Prevent Breathing
A woman reported that her boyfriend assaulted her.
4500 Block of S 1st Street – Property Theft
A victim reported that a known suspect took his $1,210 iPhone.
4200 Block of Southwest Drive – Property Theft
A South Abilene business reported that a suspect entered a business and seized an Xbox from a shelf valued at $500.
2000 block of S Clack Street – Indecent assault
A woman reported that an unknown man touched her without her consent at an apartment complex in south Abilene.
Block 1600 of Route 351 – Assault – Domestic Violence
Police responded to a business in North Abilene and found two parties assaulted each other.
4300 Block of Buffalo Gap Road – Credit or Debit Card Abuse
An unknown suspect stole a purse with her debit card inside and used it at a grocery store in South Abilene.
1900 block of E Overland Trail – False
A known suspect is accused of stealing a check and forging it, giving himself cash from a North Abilene hotel.
3900 Block of S 7th Street – Property Theft
A South Abilene business reported three pieces of jewelry and a glass jar were stolen. The total value of the stolen items is approximately $195.
2400 Block of S Danville Drive – Property Theft
A South Abilene business reported that an unknown person stole pants worth $422.
Block 2500 of S Treadaway Blvd – Forgery-Financial
A suspect has been arrested for forgery and possession of a controlled substance.
Block 2300 of Brenda Lane – Assault
Officers responded to an ongoing disturbance and learned that a victim had been assaulted by a suspect, resulting in him being hospitalized.
1400 Block of Green Street – Credit or Debit Card Abuse
A victim claims his ex-girlfriend fraudulently used his debit card information.
1200 Block of S 4th Street – Criminal Mischief
One report was taken for criminal mischief.
1600 Block of S 16th Street – Criminal Trespass Habitation / Super Fund Site
A man was arrested for criminal trespassing at a residence south of town.
900 block of Presidio Drive – criminal mischief
A report for criminal mischief was taken.
Block 5200 of rue Hartford – Residential burglary – Simple assault intent
A report of a home burglary was taken at an apartment complex in south Abilene.
1100 Block of Butternut Street – Criminal Mischief
Arrests
Darryl Montes – Mandate
Montes was contacted on a suspicious vehicle call and found to have an active warrant.
Otis Lewis – Mandate
Lewis was contacted for cycling on the wrong side of the road and found to have an active warrant.
Devin Goswick – False, possession of a controlled substance
Goswick was contacted after attempting to cash a fake check at a local check cashing business. He was arrested and a search of his person revealed a substance suspected to be methamphetamine.
Kailey Durham – Mandate
Durham was contacted and arrested in reference to an outstanding warrant.
Ray Camacho – Mandate
Camacho was a passenger in a vehicle associated with an ongoing investigation. Before the vehicle could be stopped, Camacho allegedly got out and tried to flee. A check of records revealed that he had an active warrant.
Stacey Pittillo – Possession of a Controlled Substance
Pittillo was contacted during a traffic stop for expired license plates. A K9 sniffed for free air and alerted to the presence of narcotics. A subsequent search revealed two pills in Pittillo’s purse, which she admitted to be Xanax.
Melissa Mauney – Criminal Trespass, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Mauney was contacted in reference to an ongoing criminal intrusion. A search for probable cause revealed a glass pipe and a used syringe in her purse.
Omar Lopez – Public Intoxication
Lopez was contacted after witnesses said he followed them outside a restaurant and they believed he had a gun. When contacted, Lopez was showing signs of intoxication. Officers did not find a weapon on him, but he was arrested for being a danger to himself and others.
Joshua Smith – Criminal Trespass Habitation/Super Fund Site
Smith was contacted during a service call and was seen standing in front of a residence hall bedroom window. He had already been warned of criminal trespassing but returned to the property. The victim wants to file a complaint.
