Crime Reports: Abilene man arrested after nearly urinating on officer | KTAB

Editor’s Note: The following arrest and incident reports were provided by the Abilene Police Department. All of the information below comes from reports written by responding officers, and all suspects are considered not guilty unless a court orders otherwise..
Incidents
4100 Block of S Danville Drive – Property Theft
A South Abilene resident reported that four tires and rims worth $2,000 were stolen from a vehicle in his parking lot.
600 block of N Jefferson Drive – Harassment
A woman reported being stalked by a former high school classmate.
Block 4500 of S 1st Street – False
A victim reported fraud to the police department.
3200 Block of N 1st Street – Property Theft
A victim reported that his $1,100 cell phone was stolen while at an Abilene store, and the manager believes an employee stole it.
4500 block of S 1st Street – Harassment
Block 4400 of Ridgemont Drive – Aggravated Assault Serious Bodily Injury
A report was filed for aggravated assault, domestic violence, where the victim suffered serious bodily injury.
LOCATION UNDISCLOSED – Assault Domestic Violence
A victim was contacted during a disturbance and was found to have an active domestic violence warrant.
Enterprise Drive Block 2600 – Criminal Intrusion
Officers responded to a trespassing call in North Abilene where a suspect was tipped off to the property but returned anyway.
5400 Block of Laguna Drive – Property Theft
A victim reported that his $800 bicycle was stolen.
Block 1200 Chestnut Street – Assault, Domestic Violence
A report of domestic violence has been reported in South Abilene.
4500 block of S 1st Street – Harassment
A victim reported that her ex-boyfriend sent her threatening messages to damage her reputation.
1600 Block of Highway 351 – Property Theft
A suspect has been arrested for theft and public intoxication at an Abilene store.
2600 Block of Nonesuch Road – Assault, Domestic Violence
A victim was assaulted and choked by her boyfriend.
1600 Block of Delano Street – Assault, Domestic Violence
A victim reported that a suspect punched her in the face during an altercation at their home.
2500 Block of Maple Street – Assault Domestic Violence
A suspect has been arrested for domestic violence assault in South Abilene.
LOCATION UNDISCLOSED – Drunk Driving
A victim was arrested for DWI, retaliation and warrant following an accident.
Block 1400 of Sewell Street – Assault, domestic violence
A victim said she was assaulted by her boyfriend in South Abilene.
1200 Block of Elm Street – Assault, Domestic Violence
A report was made for Assault Family Violence in Abilene.
Block 3200 of S Danville Drive – Aggravated Assault Lethal Weapon
A report for Assault Family Violence was taken in South Abilene, where a victim had visible bruising.
4500 Block of S 1st Street – Criminal Mischief
A report of criminal mischief was taken in south Abilene.
Block 1600 of Route 351 – Property theft
A suspect has been arrested for theft of property for underscanning over $200 worth of merchandise at an Abilene store.
Arrests
Valérie Olvera – Mandate
Olvera was contacted at the Salvation Army in reference to active warrants and was arrested.
Tyler Offield – Public Intoxication
Offield was contacted on a call for duty and was showing he was intoxicated when officers arrived. He was arrested for being a danger to himself and others.
Felipe Martinez – Aggravated Assault Lethal Weapon
Martinez was contacted at an Abilene restaurant because of a victim who was unconscious and not breathing. He had blood pouring from his ears and was vomiting. Martinez admitted to hitting the victim when he said something offensive to his daughter. The blow then knocked him down and hit his head, causing serious bodily injury.
Michael Harris – Aggression Domestic Violence
Harris is accused of headbutting a victim during a fight where they were both intoxicated. He also had an active warrant for his arrest.
Michael Alvey – Public intoxication, urinating in public
Alvey was contacted and was showing signs of intoxication. He was urinating on a chain link fence when officers arrived and nearly got an officer as well. He was arrested after trying to get into a vehicle that does not belong to him.
Amanda Abernathy – Assault, Domestic Violence
Abernathy is charged with robbing property while intoxicated during an argument. She also bit a victim, causing visible marks.
Stephen Barlow – Fraudulent Use/Possession of Credentials, Possession of Controlled Substances
Barlow was stopped at a traffic stop for expired registration and a K9 was alerted to the presence of narcotics. A subsequent search revealed methamphetamine, promethazine, and identifying information belonging to 3 or more people.
Rhonda Wimmer – Fraudulent Use/Possession of Credentials, Controlled Substance Possession, Dangerous Drug Possession
Wimmer was stopped at a traffic stop for expired registration and a K9 was alerted to the presence of narcotics. A subsequent search revealed methamphetamine, promethazine, and identifying information belonging to 3 or more people.
Hailemariam Fente – Drunk Driving, Escape Arrest
Slot was contacted in reference to a drunk driver. He was stopped in the middle of the road, slumped over his steering wheel when officers arrived. He started to walk away when officers tried to arrest him. When he was finally arrested 15 blocks later, he failed several field sobriety tests. Breath tests showed his blood alcohol level was 0.110 and 0.110.
Matthew Herrera – possession of controlled substance, warrant
Herrera was contacted during a traffic stop and found to have an outstanding warrant for his arrest. A subsequent search revealed cocaine.
Joshua Monarez – Drunk Driving
Monarez was contacted for driving 87 MPH in a 70 MPH zone. He showed signs of intoxication and failed several field sobriety tests. Breath tests showed his blood alcohol level was 0.193 and 0.187.
Jake Akers – Criminal Trespass
Akers was contacted inside a Starbucks where he had previously been tipped off.
Scarlett Courtney – Public intoxication, theft of property
Courtney was contacted while shoplifting at an Abilene store. She was trying to walk away with $120 worth of merchandise and when the company gave her a second chance to pay, she tried to leave the store again. She also showed signs of intoxication.
Christopher Bishop – Manufacture/Delivery of Controlled Substances
Bishop was contacted during a traffic stop. A K9 alerted to the presence of narcotics and a subsequent search revealed methamphetamine.
Amanda Sparks – Mandate
Sparks was contacted during a traffic stop and was arrested on an outstanding warrant.
Joedy Gray – Public Intoxication
Gray was contacted on a service call and was showing signs of being intoxicated. He was arrested for being a danger to himself and others.
Diamond Beaver – Assault Domestic Violence
Beaver was arrested after his girlfriend reported that he assaulted and strangled her twice.
Johnathan Donnelly – Assault Domestic Violence
Donnelly was contacted during an ongoing disorder where he is accused of smashing a window and mirror on a victim’s vehicle during a disorder. He also kicked the victim in the stomach and pulled his hair. She had multiple visible injuries.
Izaiah Alvarez – Drunk Driving, Obstruction, Warrant
Alvarez was contacted after a car accident where he left the scene. He was arrested for being a danger to himself and others and failed several field sobriety tests. He was arrested for being a danger to himself and others.
Dywayne Ralston – Driving while intoxicated, evading arrest
Ralston was stopped during a traffic stop on suspicion that he may have been a drunk driver. Instead of stopping, he continued driving and showed signs of being intoxicated.
Jace Farris – Mandate
Farris was contacted during a disturbance and it was discovered that he had a warrant for his arrest.
Tre Appleby – Assault, Domestic Violence, Marijuana Possession
Appleby is accused of hitting a victim in the head during an argument, causing her pain. Officers also smelled marijuana and a subsequent search revealed 2 large bags filled with over 10 ounces of marijuana.
Brenda Orona – Possession of Controlled Substances
Orona was contacted during a roadside check, where a K9 alerted to the presence of narcotics. A subsequent search revealed methamphetamine.
Jeremy Jones – Drunk Driving
Jones was contacted for driving 70 MPH in a 45 MPH zone. He showed signs of intoxication and failed several field sobriety tests. Breath tests showed his blood alcohol level was 0.194 and 0.180.
Rebecca Smith – Property Theft
Smith is accused of failing to scan several items during a self-checkout and then leaving an Abilene store. She admitted to stealing $205 worth of undigitized merchandise.
Kristopher Mason – Warrant, Display of Fictitious Motor Vehicle Registration
Mason was contacted for having expired his registration and was found to have an active warrant. Officers also learned that the registration badge belonged to another vehicle.
David Loza – Noise Violation
Loza was contacted during a service call. He had already been cited and warned of a noise violation earlier in the day. Officers watched him on his porch, shouting profanity as loud as he could.
Christopher Forte – Public Intoxication
Forte was contacted for acting drunk at an Abilene park. He was arrested for being a danger to himself and others.
Ricardo Olivo – Drunk driving
Olivo was arrested for driving 81 MPH in a 60 MPH zone. He showed signs of intoxication and admitted to having consumed beer. He failed several field sobriety tests and breath tests showed his blood alcohol level was 0.122 and 0.131.
Chester Minor – escape from custody, resisting arrest
Minor was contacted at a traffic stop for failing to report. He did not comply with requests to get back into his vehicle and not to put his hands in his pockets. He then attempted to flee from the officers.
