Crime Reports: $15,000 of equipment stolen from Abilene business, man charged with using machete in ‘assault with deadly weapon’ | KTA

Block 1000 of S La Salle Drive – Building Burglary
A victim reported a vehicle break-in.

Block 3300 Maple Street – Theft of Property
A local business owner reported that an unknown suspect stole a trailer full of lawn equipment worth over $15,000.

Bob-O-Link Drive Block 4500 – Property Theft
A landlord reported that previous tenants stole appliances and damaged property before leaving. The stolen items are worth $1,200.

800 Block of Elm Street – Assault, Domestic Violence
One victim reported that her boyfriend assaulted her and damaged her property.

Block 1300 Andy Street – Burglary of a vehicle
A victim reported that unknown suspects entered his vehicle and took documents from the glove box.

700 Block of Park Avenue – Motor Vehicle Theft
A truck was stolen in north Abilene.

Block 1200 of Mockingbird Lane – Property Theft
A North Abilene business reported an employee stole $352.

Block 4300 of Buffalo Gap Road – Criminal Trespass
A business reported that a shoplifter who had previously been the victim of criminal intrusion was apprehended by security for showing up at the store.

4500 Block of S 1st Street – Credit or Debit Card Abuse
A report was taken for credit and debit card abuse

1800 Block of N 11th Street – Property Theft

1900 Block of Sycamore Street – Dwelling Burglary
One victim said they saw someone in their home on their surveillance cameras. The suspect fled and it is unclear if anything was taken, but the back door was open and broken when police arrived.

Block 600 of N Pioneer Drive – Breach of Bail / Protective Order
A report was taken for repeated violation of a protection order.

Block 5000 of Highway 277 S – Terror threat raises fears of imminent SBI
One victim reported that an acquaintance pointed a gun at him.

3500 Block of N 10th Street – Criminal Mischief
A report has been taken in North Abilene for assault, domestic violence and criminal mischief.

Block 2100 of Highway 351 – Service Theft
A citizen reported that several items had been stolen from her apartment, including a computer, screen, keyboard and mouse. The stolen items are worth $300.

Block 600 of Peach Street – Aggravated Assault Lethal Weapon
A victim alleges his brother attacked him, brandishing a machete and threatening to kill him.

Arrests

Chris McCubbins – Failure to Comply with Sex Offender Registration Obligation
McMubbins did not register as a sex offender after being released from prison in August.

Jennifer Kennedy – Mandate
Kennedy was contacted and arrested on active warrants.

Reese Lasly – Mandate
Lasly was contacted and arrested on an active warrant.

Lashonda Hunter – Criminal Trespass
Hunter was contacted and arrested at the Abilene Mall for being inside a store she had previously been the victim of criminal intrusion.

Twlight Gue – Public Intoxication, Warrant
Gue was acting erratically and appeared to be under the influence of an unknown suspect while in the parking lot of an Abilene business. She was taken into custody because she posed a danger to herself and others.

Eliseo Rodriguez – Drunk Driving
Rodriguez was contacted after a witness to an accident reported that he was following an intoxicated driver. When officers contacted him, he was showing signs of being drunk and admitted to “drinking too much”.

Gilberto Armendarez – Mandate
Armendarez was contacted during a traffic stop for driving without lights and was found to have an active warrant.

Nicole Wright – Resisting Arrest, Failure to Identify, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Tampering with Evidence, Fraudulent Use/Possession of Credentials, Warrant
Wright was contacted during a traffic stop for missing taillights and a K9 alerted to the presence of narcotics. Her vehicle was searched and she was arrested.
